FIELD TRIPS
Our first field trip will be to the ISU Insect Zoo this fall. Look for info and a date coming in September.
Grading
Your child's grade is based on 20% daily work/labs, 30% major projects and quizzes, and 50% tests. You may find your student's grade in real time on campus portal on the PAC website.
CURRICULUM
Both 5th and 6th grades begin the 2018 school year with units dealing with the Scientific Method. This includes learning basic parts of an experiment, how to use scientific instruments, and how to record, read, and interpret data. Most of all, my goals for kids are to gain a love and appreciation of science as well become all they can be inside as well as outside of the classroom.
